Workshops

Are you looking for relevant and dynamic Wellbeing CPD for your school?

It’s no secret that educational staff are struggling with the workload and demands of teaching, so much so that in 2022 60% of staff were considering leaving the profession with 75% of staff feeling stressed and 78% experiencing mental health symptoms as a result of work. (Teacher Wellbeing Index 2022).

I am a qualified counsellor with nearly 20 years experience of teaching and leading in primary schools, I can deliver staff meetings and INSET training on a range of wellbeing topics. Please email for availability and prices, or if you want to know more.

Workshop Feedback

“I liked how the science and theory related directly to school examples and teaching.”

“Interesting and thought provoking – I know how stress impacts the body and affects thought cycles.”

“It was interesting to see how normal stress is and why we feel it – helpful strategies to manage stress.”

Don’t Stress About It

This workshop demysitifies how stress works in the body, how triggers work and why our stress response has evolved in the way it has. In the second half, we look at evidence-based stress management strategies and how to recognise unhelpful thinking around stress.

Difficult Conversations

This workshop can focus in on a particular type of difficult conversation or look at general difficult conversations in schools. We look at what a difficult conversation is and what makes it difficult, how to respond to ‘spontaneous’ difficult conversations and planned meetings as well as protect yourself emotional and mentally.

Building Resilience

Currently under construction!

Emotional Regulation

This workshop explores what emotions are and how we experience them. We explore what happens in the body and mind when emotions are difficult to regulate and strategies to improve emotional understanding and regulation. This workshop can be tailored to either build understanding of our own emotions as adults or how we can support the children we teach.

Wellbeing Meetings and Action Planning

I can meet with your wellbeing lead or SLT team to support the creation of an impactful and relevant action plan for teacher wellbeing. If included with a staff training meeting (and with staff consent) feedback from the staff meeting can help inform the action planning.

Tailored staff meetings

If you have an idea for a staff meeting or a specific need in your school, I may be able to tailor a training session to your needs.
