Find Your Note-Taking Confidence – £15

Online training

Join me online for a helpful session designed just for counsellors and therapists. If you ever feel unsure about why and how clinical/therapeutic notes are taken in private practice, this event is here to boost your confidence. We’ll explore what guidance is out there, what the law and GDPR says, ethical considerations, the purpose of clinical notes and their possible content. At the end of the training, participants will create a rough draft of their own note-taking policy reflecting their unique context, purpose and individual practice.

What are people saying?

‘Lucy’s training was very engaging and incredibly helpful, I came away feeling clear and confident about writing notes.’

‘This training is a must for all new and existing counsellors and therapists in private practice. The training was great at demystifying notes, giving clear guidance in a way that is relational and relative to each counsellors individual work.’

Embodiment – £60

Six online sessions

Find out about what embodiment is and how to find balance in the relationship between body and mind. We’ll explore the body/mind connection and how that feels, what beliefs and messaging we hear about bodies, how to tune into what our bodies tell us and how trauma and experience is stored in body and mind.

Objectives:

  • Develop an understanding of our bodies and our relationship with them.
  • Grow an awareness of what embodiment is and how it feels.
  • Develop an understanding of societal factors that construct our relationships with our bodies.
  • Learn strategies to connect with our bodies and find harmony in wholeness.

Session 1 – Am I just Anybody?

Session 2 – The Fishtank – how our environment shapes our understanding.

Session 3 – Intellectualisation and Rationalisation – how we hide in our head.

Session 4 – The body as a subject, not object – how the body stores memory.

Session 5 – Reframing mind/body connection – how do we hear what the body tells us?

Session 6 – From we to I – reflection and feedback.

What are people saying?

“Lucy’s course, has helped me to look at myself as a whole, mind and body. I feel that the personal insights I have gained about my own embodiment will help me to support not only myself going forward, but to potentially support and inform my work with clients in the future.”

“Relaxed and informative introduction to embodiment. Lucy oversaw an environment that was open and educational.”

“This was an absolutely fantastic course. I learned so much about my body and mind and how to connect the two. Through the embodiment course, I feel more empowered to listen to my body and pay attention to the information it gives me.”

“Lucy’s embodiment course provides a safe, caring and nurturing space to explore connections between one’s mind and body. Through well-researched lectures, lively group discussions and small and fun homework assignments, I got to understand better what my body is, how it might be interpreted by myself and by the society around me, and how to balance between living in my head and living in my body. While it is not therapy, the course did feel soothing and therapeutic”
